Environment

At Norfolk Farm Produce we take our environmental responsibility seriously. Having introduced cross compliance and indentified customer awareness of the environmental aspects of modern food production, we realise the importance of complying with environmental regulations.

 

We committed ourselves to the ‘Entry Level Stewardship Scheme’ in 1992 and are now in negotiations to progress to HLS.

Combined with the ‘Countryside Stewardship Scheme’ and the ‘English Woodland Grant Scheme’ we are taking every effort to protect and conserve our environment. Being members of the ‘Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust’ we are actively improving the habitat of many species of birds and wildlife, which is monitored by counts administered by the RSPB on an annual basis.

Finally it is our policy to continually improve our farming practises, renewable energy sources and remain sensitive to our local environment and ecosystem.
